Subscription and Payment Policy ​

We offer flexible plans to meet the needs of different users, whether you're a hobbyist just starting or a professional developer who needs the most powerful features.

Subscription Types ​

  • Monthly Subscription: You can enable or disable auto-renewal. If enabled, your subscription will automatically renew one day before it expires. Each month is calculated as 30 calendar days. This is a great way to maintain flexibility.
  • Annual Subscription: Pay for the entire year at once. This plan provides 1,000 credits per month and is the best choice for long-term users.

Credit Pack ​

If Pro users run out of their monthly credits early within a subscription cycle, they can purchase a Credit Pack at any time to ensure their workflow is not interrupted. You can purchase multiple Credit Packs, and each pack is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Please note that Credit Packs are a one-time purchase and are non-refundable.

Payment Policy ​

  • Only one subscription plan can be active at a time.
  • Your billing cycle begins on the day you subscribe. You can view your subscription history in the "Billing History" section of your profile page on codebuddy.ai.

Refund Policy ​

If you have not used any Pro features within 24 hours after subscription, you may request a refund by sending your CodeBuddy account details to codebuddy@tencent.com or joining our group. Our support team will process your request as soon as possible. Refunds that do not meet these policy requirements will not be granted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ​

1. How are credits calculated and used? ​

Credits are the units you use when interacting with CodeBuddy's AI features. We have two types of AI features:

  • Quick Features: Such as code auto-completion, quick Q&A, etc., which consume fewer credits.

  • Advanced Features: Such as generating complete code blocks for complex requirements, deep code analysis, etc., which consume more credits.

The number of credits consumed depends on the complexity of the task, the length of the generated code, and the AI model used.

2. What if I run out of my monthly credits? ​

  • Pro Users: If you run out of all your monthly credits during your subscription period, you can purchase a "Credit Pack" to instantly replenish your credits and continue using all AI features seamlessly.

  • Free/Trial Users: After the trial period ends, your account will no longer be able to use AI features that consume credits. To continue, please upgrade to the Pro plan.

3. How does the 2-week Pro trial for new users work? ​

All newly registered users will automatically start a 2-week Pro trial. During this period, you will be allocated a one-time grant of 250 credits and can experience all Pro features without limitation. This is to allow you to fully understand the value of the paid version. After the trial period ends, you will need to upgrade to the Pro plan to continue using our AI features.

4. What is the difference between the free trial and the Pro version? ​

The Pro version offers a substantial number of monthly credits, access to all advanced features, and the ability to purchase Credit Packs. The free trial is designed to let you experience the full functionality, after which you need to upgrade to the Pro plan to continue.

How much usage do I need? ​

Based on our usage data, you can refer to the following usage levels:

  • Exploratory User: If you are just starting to explore and want to understand the basic features, our 2-week free trial is the ideal choice for you.

  • Daily Agent User: If you rely on Agent features every day to get your work done, the Pro plan will provide you with the sufficient credits and advanced features you need.
