Data Processing And Security Agreement

1. BACKGROUND

This Module applies if you use the Tencent CodeBuddy IDE feature ("Feature"). This Module is incorporated into the Data Processing and Security Agreement located at our website ("DPSA"). Terms used but not defined in this Module shall have the meaning given to them in the DPSA. In the event of any conflict between the DPSA and this Module, this Module shall apply to the extent of the inconsistency.

2. PROCESSING

We will process the following data in connection with the Feature:

Code and project content of end-usersWe only process this data for the purposes of providing the Feature to you, i.e. the delivery of IDE functionality including code editing, file management, and project collaboration (We do not store any such data permanently for this purpose).
Customer authentication information: User ID, API Keys, Session Tokens, Authentication CredentialsWe use this information to identify your usage of the Feature and maintain secure access to your development environment.
Customer log data relating to IDE usage: Project ID, Workspace Name, File Operations, Service Status, Creation Time, User Actions, Feature UsageWe use this information to maintain records relating to the development projects and workspaces you created through the use of the Feature.
Development environment configuration: Editor Settings, Extension Preferences, Theme Configuration, Workspace Layout, Build ConfigurationWe use this information to provide personalized IDE experience and maintain your development environment settings across sessions.
Collaboration data: Shared Project Information, User Permissions, Real-time Editing Sessions, Comments and AnnotationsWe use this information to enable collaborative development features and maintain project sharing functionality.

5. DATA RETENTION

We will store personal data processed in connection with the Feature as follows:

Personal InformationRetention Policy
Customer authentication information: User ID, API Keys, Session Tokens, Authentication CredentialsWe retain such data for as long as you use the Feature. When your use of the Feature is terminated or when your account is deleted, we will delete this data within 7 days.
Customer log data relating to IDE usage: Project ID, Workspace Name, File Operations, Service Status, Creation Time, User Actions, Feature UsageWe retain such data for as long as you use the Feature. When your use of the Feature is terminated or when your account is deleted, we will delete this data within 7 days.
Development environment configuration: Editor Settings, Extension Preferences, Theme Configuration, Workspace Layout, Build ConfigurationWe retain such data for as long as you maintain your account. When your account is deleted, we will delete this data within 30 days.
Collaboration data: Shared Project Information, User Permissions, Real-time Editing Sessions, Comments and AnnotationsWe retain such data for as long as the associated projects exist. When projects are deleted or your account is terminated, we will delete this data within 7 days.

You can request deletion of such personal data in accordance with the DPSA.

6. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

You must ensure that this Feature is only used by end users who are of at least the minimum age at which an individual can consent to the processing of their personal data or that parental consent is obtained for individuals under the minimum age. This may be different depending on the jurisdiction in which an end user is located.

You represent, warrant and undertake that you shall obtain and maintain all necessary consents from End Users in respect of the processing of their personal data in respect of the Feature, in accordance with applicable laws and so as to enable us to comply with applicable laws.

For collaborative features, you must ensure that all participants in shared projects have provided appropriate consent for data processing and are aware of the data sharing implications of collaborative development activities.

You are responsible for ensuring that any code, content, or data uploaded to or processed through the Feature complies with applicable laws and does not infringe upon third-party rights, including but not limited to intellectual property rights and privacy rights.
